Sisters and Brothers NT

A few years ago, Sistergirls Brie Curtis and Crystal Love co-founded the advocacy group Sisters and Brothers NT. Since its launch in 2014, the group has gone from strength to strength, lobbying for people of diverse gender, sex and sexuality in the Northern Territory to have the same basic human rights as everybody else. The group has taken on an activist role, also focussing on educating the community that diversity should be celebrated and respected.

Sisters and Brothers NT also provide support and a safe space for Sistergirls, Brotherboys, Indigenous and non-Indigenous LGBTIQ people. The group addresses issues of racism, sexism, homophobia and gender inequality and is partnered with NTAHC and Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia.

We are very proud to be partnered with Sisters and Brothers NT and continue to support their advocacy and collaborative efforts with local role models and community leaders.

About us:

Women’s Safety Services of Central Australia (WoSSCA) is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation that operates on a feminist framework and is committed to assisting and enabling women and children experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the land we work on, as the first people of this country. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elders past, present and emerging.

Our vision is for greater safety, respect and dignity for all women and their children in Central Australia.
